Scientific expedition to Japan: from Nagano observatories to the largest planetarium in the world

The Frontiers of Science Guild
, together with the Astroverts project, organizes a unique scientific expedition to
Japan, which will be held from October 25 to November 3, 2025. Participants
will travel to the land of the rising sun at the height of the red maple season to immerse
themselves in the world of modern astrophysics.
The route will combine
ancient traditions and advanced science. In the program:
- visits to observatories and the world's largest planetarium;
- familiarization with the neutrino and, possibly, the gravitational-wave detector;
- lectures on the theory of relativity and black holes;
- observation of the bright comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) from the mountain Observatory in Nagano.
The guides on the
journey will be:
- Ilya Cech — founder of the Frontiers of Science Guild, philanthropist and researcher;
- Stanislav Korotky is the scientific director of Astroverts, the discoverer of new stars and asteroids.
The group was formed on
20 people — at the time of publication, more than half of the seats are booked.
The participation fee is 250,000 rubles per person. Included: hotel accommodation, transfers,
excursions, lectures, almost all meals. A 30% discount is provided for children under 14 years
of age.
The expedition continues
a series of astronomical voyages that began in September 2025, when four
planes with 250 passengers traveled to the lunar eclipse over the Arctic Circle.
Details and
registration are available on the official website.
