From bionic prosthetics to Mars: the Foundation founder’s path

Ilya Chekh, 35, co-founder of bionic prosthetics company Motorica, founded Gravity Frontiers, a science & technology foundation, in late 2024. His interest in space goes back to childhood—reading Jules Verne and other science fiction. As a student he contributed to the Selenokhod lunar rover project; in 2013 he took part in a Mars analog expedition at the Mars Desert Research Station. Today, alongside Gravity Frontiers, he leads Motorica and invests in CosmoRobotics. The Foundation brings together his experience in deep tech and a long-standing drive for space exploration.
