The Frontiers of Science Guild and the Gutenberg Science Talks scientific and educational project will revive civil science in Russia

The
co-founder of the Frontiers of Science Scientific and Technological Guild is among the priority areas of work
Ilya Chekh highlights media and educational projects. The Guild will
promote science and technology in order to ensure the growing prestige of scientific
and fundamental technological areas. The Guild plans to involve
non-professionals in the role of enthusiasts and volunteers in scientific research and
to help scientists in data collection and analysis. The working title of the large—scale project is
"Civil Science".
This is necessary for
the development of human potential, including for the space industry:
in 10 years, schoolchildren will be able to choose space as a development area,
students will already be able to develop technologies for space stations,
entrepreneurs and top managers of corporations will invest in fundamental
scientific research and commercialization of developments. At the same time, current
scientists will receive a tool to improve the efficiency of working with
both routine and creative tasks.
The scientific and educational project "Gutenberg Science Talks" will help to involve the general public in scientific projects of the Guild in various formats
.
Popular science
articles, lectures, podcasts and other materials are published on the channels of one of the oldest popular science projects in Russia. Dialogues with experts from various
industries, scientists, and science popularizers allow us to uncover topics from
neuroscience to space exploration, from artificial intelligence to
thermonuclear fusion. Roman Pereborshchikov, the head of the Gutenberg Science Talks, is convinced that education should contribute to the development of science and civil
society institutions in Russia.
The goals of the organizations
are organically combined: the Frontiers of Science Guild needs to develop human
potential and involve society in scientific projects, and the Gutenberg Science Talks has been actively promoting science and technology for many years. For the Guild
, the multi-format project will become a platform for involving the general public in
the topics of scientific and technological achievements in the space industry. "Gutenberg Science Talks, in turn, will receive funding, media and
administrative support from the Guild, which will not only strengthen the work of the project for the
benefit of science in Russia, but also significantly scale the results.
"The Frontiers
of Science Guild and the Gutenberg Science Talks project will launch a new
strategic model for working with popular science. Our goal is to give
everyone the opportunity to contribute to fundamental science and
the development of technologies related to space exploration, other planets, as well
as trips to other stars in the future," said Ilya Chekh.
"Russia occupies one
of the leading places in the world in terms of the development of scientific education, but we
have serious work to do to make the popularization of science from intellectual
leisure an effective career guidance tool for new generations
of researchers and scientists. This is our task," Roman Pereborshchikov said.
