Alexander Shaenko, a member of the Frontiers of Science Guild, will speak at the Summer Space School at the IKI RAS

From
July 26 to August 3, the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy
of Sciences (IKI RAS) will host the Summer Space School, an annual educational
event bringing together young researchers, students and anyone
interested in astronautics and astrophysics. The school's program includes more than 100
lectures, master classes and practical exercises from leading industry experts.
Among
the speakers are well—known popularizers of science Vladimir Surdin, Alexey Semikhatov,
Boris Stern, as well as cosmonaut pilot, Hero of the Russian Federation Mikhail
Kornienko. Lectures and workshops will be conducted by representatives of leading scientific
institutes.: IKI RAS, Institute of Biomedical Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences, GEOHI RAS,
MIIGAiK, Skoltech, as well as employees of rocket and space industry enterprises and
private space companies.
Alexander Shayenko, a member of the Frontiers of Science Guild,
founder and head of the Photobioreactor project, will take part in the school's work. He will give two
lectures.:
- "Thermal management systems" — July 29;
- "Practical work on high-intensity cultivation of microalgae in a photobioreactor of the 435nm project" — July 30.
Both
topics are related to key areas of space research:
crew life support and engineering solutions for operating equipment in extreme
conditions.
The Summer
Space School traditionally gathers young scientists, engineers and students
seeking to deepen their knowledge in the field of space science and technology. The detailed
